On Sunday the ladies side lost a close encounter. It was a well fought battle against Kempston Methodists yesterday but alas we suffered our first defeat this season. We struggled to get their top batter out who scored 79 of their 133 total. Then a few quick wickets at the top couldn’t be saved by some great batting from Emily (21), Lorett (12), Sue (11) and Louise (25). And we were all out for 104. We fought hard but it wasn’t our day.
