Chesham Cricket Club's nets, clubhouse and grounds remain off limits despite new England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) guidelines for recreational practice released today.

We are not yet in a position to meet all of the criteria for clubs as laid out in the ECB statement. We are however reviewing the guidelines, as well as speaking to our insurers and ECB representatives, and hope to provide an update as soon as possible.

I want to reassure you that we are keen for you all to play cricket as quickly as possible, but the safety of all our members is paramount and we must also ensure that we are fully compliant with both ECB and government guidelines.
