Chesham Cricket Club is honoured to be hosting Surrey county cricket club’s African Caribbean Engagement “ACE” programme http://aceprogramme.com for junior fixtures on Friday 6 August.
The “Chesham All Stars” team (a mix of Bucks county pathway players from our U11-U14 age groups) will play two games against the young ACEs from Surrey.
A 30-over match will be played from 12:00 hrs in traditional cricket “whites” and a T20 “blast” will take place from 5:00pm, played in coloured clothing.
The club would love as many folks as possible – from all backgrounds – to come down to the ground to support the kids, generate a great atmosphere for the players and witness the exciting cricket being played in the heart of our community.
Spectators are welcome at both games but the T20 “blast” will be accompanied by a DJ and sound system. The club bars will be open and food and drink will be available to purchase at the ground. Family, friends, kids all welcome. Even if people have never watched cricket before, ask them to come try it out!
Venue: Chesham CC, “The Meadow”, Amy Lane, HP5 1NE (next to Chesham United football club) – there’s limited parking available at the ground but IF AT ALL POSSIBLE PLEASE ACCESS THE GROUND BY FOOT. Other parking locations can be found in town within a 5-10 minute walk.
Date & Time: Friday 6 August – T20 “blast” and party vibes from 5pm until roughly 9pm.
N.b. a voluntary donation of £5 will be asked for at the gate to help fund the event and to support the club’s Covid recovery fund, but the most important thing is you being there to cheer on the players!
