Please come to The Meadow on Friday 6 August for outdoor fun as Chesham CC hosts a Surrey County Cricket Club team
A wonderful opportunity to eat, drink, relax, be merry and enjoy an evening with friends outdoors - and see some great cricket too!
The “Chesham Academy” team (a mix of Bucks county pathway players from our U11-U14 age groups) will play two games against the young ACEs from Surrey.
(Read more about he Surrey ACE Programme here: https://www.kiaoval.com/african-caribbean-engagement-programme/)
A 30-over match will be played from 12:00 hrs in traditional cricket “whites” and a T20 “blast” will take place from 5:00pm, played in coloured clothing: accompanied by a DJ and sound system, club bars will be open and food and drink will be available to purchase at the ground. Come down after work, summer camp or whatever, and unwind at the end of the week!
The club would love as many folks as possible to support players, generate a lively T20 atmosphere and witness the exciting cricket being played in the heart of our community.
Family, friends, kids all welcome. Even if people have never watched cricket before, ask them to come try it out!
Venue: Chesham CC, “The Meadow”, Amy Lane, HP5 1NE (next to Chesham United football club) – there’s limited parking available at the ground but IF AT ALL POSSIBLE PLEASE ACCESS THE GROUND BY FOOT. Other parking locations can be found in town within a 5-10 minute walk.
Date & Time: Friday 6 August – T20 “blast” and party vibes from 5pm until roughly 9pm.
N.b. a voluntary donation of £5 will be asked for at the gate to help fund the event and support the club’s Covid recovery fund, but the most important thing is you being there to cheer on the players!
