Dear Member,
Ollie Turner has decided to stand down as 1st Team Captain after 4 very successful years. I am sure many of you will realise that Ollie is now living on the South coast and trying to combine captaincy with his travel and work commitments is simply too much.
As a club there is no doubt we owe a massive amount to Ollie in creating a highly successful young first team which he took into The Home Counties Premier League for the first time this season.
We are, however, very fortunate this season to have in place a highly committed and experienced overseas player In Jimmy Day, who has shown himself an excellent mentor to our younger players, and Jimmy is excited to take on the opportunity of skippering the side for the remainder of the season. I am sure everyone will wish Jimmy the best of luck in this role and am confident the club will have a successful second half of the season.
Regards,
Paul
