Match report Thanks to a resounding ten wicket victory over struggling Great Brickhill, Chesham find themselves in 3rd place in the Home Counties Div 2 table. Having invited the home side to bat first, Jason Rance was soon amongst the wickets; the first six to be precise. He ended with figures of 6 for 49 in 16 overs. In spite of a rally by the 9th wicket pair, Chesham’s poor man’s Gary Sobers, Pip France, with his mixture of left arm seam and then spin, polished off the tail in the 45th over with 3 for 33 to limit Brickhill’s total to 139. It was soon apparent that this total was inadequate as only two Chesham men, Matt Rance (78*) and Alex Morgan (60*), were required to bat as they stormed to victory in the 29th over without losing a wicket.
