A Bad - and Controversial - Weekend

On Saturday Chesham had a day to forget away against relegation threatened Dinton. Chesham Won the toss and elected to bat. Chesham were in all sorts of trouble early on. Chesham struggled in overcast conditions with the ball doing all sorts and slumped to 70 for 7 with only Josh Drage showing any resistance to the attack by scoring 12. Extras top scored with 25. Chesham were bowled out for 103.

Chesham knew they had to take early wickets. Ashley Turney bowled a brilliant spell  (2-30) which left Dinton at 21-2 and with tight bowling spells from Samullah Sajid (0-21) Matt Rance (0-12). Enter Henry Moore into the attack who took (3-8) and they were the final wickets Chesham took, eventually losing the game by 5 wickets.

Division 2A Chesham 2 took on Marlow. Chesham won the toss and elected to field. Marlow scored 218 in 46 overs with Chris Royals taking 4-29 and David Hughes-D’Aeth 3 for 42. Chesham scored 176 in 38.3 with David Hughes-D’Aeth scoring 71, Mark HD 34 and Henry White 30  before losing the game in highly  controversial  circumstances by 42 runs.

Division 5A Chesham 3 travelled to Burnham. Chesham won the toss and elected to field Burnham scored 252 for 7 off 45 and Chesham were bowled out for 177 in 35 overs losing by 75 Runs.

Division 8B Chesham 4s hosted Chalfont St Peter 2. Chesham won the toss and elected to field Chalfont St Peter scored 232 for 8 in their 40 overs with Muddasar Latif taking (5-28). Chesham fell short on 215 with S Nawaz scoring 125 losing the game by 17 runs.


On Sunday the ladies travelled to Ealing and lost a close game by 2 runs.
